A July 4th Tablescape

SAM_4927With the long holiday weekend ahead of us, I thought it would be fun to share a few ideas for a July 4th inspired tablescape.

I have fond memories from my days at home decorating and entertaining for the holidays. Although, at the time, I wasn’t hosting pretty tablescpae parties myself, I would decorate them for my parents. My mom would invite her friends, and I would set the table.

One particular 4th of July comes to mind: I had watched the Today show–as I often do–where I gleaned some festive ideas from Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer. I was inspired! So off I went to beg and plead with my mom to host a party for an excuse to plan a pretty table. She graciously obliged, and with a reasonable budget in hand I set out to hunt for the goods I needed to replicate the Today show version of a July 4th party.

Fast forward several years, and here we are…still finding joy from designing the perfect table, where guests can converse and enjoy fellowship. Perhaps you can relate?

As you prepare for your July 4th get-together, I hope you find some inspiration from these photos. Remember, love is in the details–your guests will surely appreciate all the little thoughtful touches. You may even consider garnishing your table with sparklers, for some after-dinner fun.
