Over-the-knee boots

On our final morning, before leaving Mendocino, we took one last peek at the beautiful coast. The sun finally decided to appear, making it even harder to leave this quaint town. We planned a few stops for the car ride home to celebrate my birthday; and I kicked-off the fun with these new boots.

Believe it or not, I’ve never owned a pair of over-the-knee boots—until now. During one of my shopping outings at Anthropolgoie I found them on major sale. Given that they were an online return, I received an extra discount to the already existing in-store sale. Love when that happens. If you’re looking for fall boots, Nordstrom is having a sale here, with select styles under $150. In order to get back down the peninsula from Mendocino you have to drive through twenty miles of redwoods–it’s such a pretty sight. Of course we stopped to take a few pictures, but I have to say the photos don’t do it justice. There’s something magical about these trees. The temperature dropped significantly once we arrived in the forest. To bundle up I wore this grey Kimono coat, which is currently on sale at 50% off! The alpaca and wool fabric blend keep you so warm, all while giving a slimming effect. It offers the perfect balance of effortless elegance and casual chic, which I adore.

After passing through the mystical forest we made a pitstop for some wine tasting at Golden Eye Winery. Known for their Pinot Noir, we tried a flight of their reds and snacked on some crackers and cheese. One of the perks of living in the Bay is how close we are to wine country. It’s always a treat to visit the pristine grounds of Sonoma and Napa wineries. My favorite time of year to go is when the weather cools down and the crowds subside.

Hope y’all have a great week. It’s almost Friday, yay! xo
