Nourishment For My Soul

On Saturday morning we finally got a glimpse of fall with gloomy and cool weather; it was so refreshing and much needed. The whole weekend was full of leisure, lazy hours, and nourishing time with friends.

On Saturday night Chris and I entertained in our home; he grilled chicken and I made pesto pasta and salad. A few friends from church came over and it was such a refreshing time around the kitchen table. Life has been busy lately, with full schedules and draining demands, leaving little time for socializing. Entering the holiday season I’m looking forward to prioritizing more time with our community of friends. How do you leave margin in your schedule to spend time with the people you care about most?
This season is full of tassels, and I’m loving the fall trend. My Cole Hanns are from last year, but I found a few here and here you might like in a variety of other colors.

Tomorrow I head down to San Luis Obispo for the Love and Splendor workshop. I can’t wait to make new friends and spend the week with a group of talented creatives; we’ll be playing with flowers, linens and lots of pretty things! So be sure to follow me on instagram, as I’ll be posting pictures from my trip. Looking forward to seeing what God has in store.
