Our Napa Valley Wedding

I’m so excited to share a few of our wedding photos and all the pretty details. I have to admit, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic now that all the festivities are over. While the planning was stressful at times, I thoroughly enjoyed the design elements of wedding planning. Our ceremony and reception took place at the Meadowood in St. Helena. The Meadowood is such a beautiful property nestled amongst acres of lush trees and trails — a Napa Valley hidden gem!

One of my favorite parts about the wedding planning was designing the paper goods. I wanted the invitation to set the tone for the overall wedding style and theme. We had the great pleasure of working with Ceci New York to create this timeless invitation suite — the quality of the paper was exquisite! How beautiful do my darling bridesmaids look in their stunning Jenny Yoo Annabelle dress?! I fretted over the color choice for weeks, but finally agreed on the Cameo Pink and I’m so glad I did. The color popped perfectly against the Napa greenery.

I’m still looking for an excuse to wear my wedding dress again…ok, I’m semi kidding, but seriously, it’s a tragedy brides only get one day with their gown. When I tried on this traditional Esther dress I fell in love with the elegant and vintage design. The bolero was one of my favorite parts! After the dinner reception I removed the bolero to create more of a “party look” for dancing.

imageFor the flowers, I went with neutral colors and a pop of blush. I love the look of a loose, natural cascading bouquet. Jessica from Fleurs de France did an amazing job with all the arrangements and I couldn’t have been happier with how it all turned out! For more details on the flowers, you can read the full scoop on the bouquet at Style Me Pretty.

Given that my family is from Argentina and Chris’ family is from Ireland, we wanted our wedding to reflect our heritage. One way we did this was through our welcome sign — we scripted the words “welcome” in Spanish next to vintage photos of our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding. Later in the evening, we served Irish cream filled mini cupcakes paying homage to Chris’ roots, along with a traditional wedding cake and macarons. And finally, it wouldn’t be a Latin wedding without the lively dancing during “La hora loca” including streamers, masks and boas.
It was meaningful for us to personalize the day and ensure our guests enjoyed their visit to wine country. In addition to the wine and champagne, guests enjoyed after dinner cocktails with cigars by the fireplace; it was the perfect place to stay warm snuggled in blankets. We fully embraced our February, winter wedding while making sure our Florida friends remained comfortable throughout the cool Napa evening!imageIt was such a magical day that I love reliving through photos and videos.
