White Lace & Denim

This past week San Francisco experienced some warm weather with temperatures reaching nearly eighty degrees. It’s rare for the city to reach such highs. Typically, there’s always a cool breeze in the air; and given the balmy weather, I couldn’t help but crave airy silhouettes and feminine fabrics to keep me cool through the warm afternoons. This was my Sunday, church-going outfit (and one I’ve worn to work, sans the denim jacket).

Sunday’s sermon addressed the decision of living a life of either “risk or rust.” I loved the message so much I thought I’d share a few of my reflections with you all. I’ve always been a huge proponent of finding ways to stretch myself, and even take risks (at times) — like starting this blog. When I launched this blog it was a bit scary for me. I knew it would require a pinch of vulnerability and some bravery. At times I wondered, “what will people think?” But the truth is, we can’t let opposing thoughts hold us back from living full and enriching lives. Sometimes, it requires a bit of risk to live freely and pursue our dreams. In case you’re looking for a nudge of inspiration, you can listen to Sunday’s sermon here.

So, the question remains: do you risk or do you rust?
