As a recap to the shopping event I hosted on Sunday, I wanted to share a few photos from the day. It was truly a blast, and left me wondering if I found my calling in life–getting to spend the afternoon in a beautiful boutique, playing dress-up with friends is what little girls’ dreams are made of. Am I right? The day began with pampering at Space NK, where Adam graciously helped me get ready for the day by doing my makeup; later, Space NK setup a pop-up counter in the Joie boutique, where guests could test beauty products and also get their makeup done, all while sipping champagne of course.
I’ll let the photos do most of the talking, but I did want to give a big thanks to Joie and Space NK for sponsoring the goodie bags. Each guest received a luxurious diptyque candle, samples of my favorite Tata Harper skincare and tasty cookies with Joie and Story Hill Lane scripted in icing. Hope you enjoy browsing the photos! For the event, I decided to wear this oh-so comfy turtleneck sweater. I love the oversize fit, and half-tucked in this black corduroy skirt. To dress it up a bit, I wore these fancy over the knee boots; they are even prettier in person, if you can believe it! What do you think?
In case you’re curious, I also link to a few of the makeup products I tried; the Hourglass Veil Fluid foundation felt light yet provided full coverage. Before applying foundation, I primed with Terrybly Densiliss which is also anti-aging–an added bonus. I tend to skimp on using a primer but definitely noticed a huge difference! My makeup stayed fresh all afternoon. Do you typically use a primer when applying makeup? I’m excited to try more of the makeup brands offered at Space NK–so many great ones to choose from!
