A few weeks back, while my mom was in town we took her into the city and played tourist. Although I work downtown and spend most of my days in San Francisco it’s always fun to venture in on a weekend and explore with new perspective.
Sutro Baths is in Golden Gate Park and houses some of the best views of the Pacific Ocean. It was once the world’s largest indoor swimming pool until it sadly burned down in the 1890s. The ruins remain, where captivated visitors (like me!) snap photos daily.
On a rare clear day, you really can’t beat these views. This area is typically foggy with low clouds, so the weather can be hit or miss. Fine Art Wedding Photographers are known to shoot at Sutro Baths which makes for a romantic and ethereal setting during golden hour. If you’re a sucker for all things wedding related, like me, these engagement pictures might peek your fancy; they were taken down below at the ruins by one of my favorite film photographers. Chris and I took our engagement photos in the nearby park against the backdrop of the overarching California Cypress Trees.
Realizing the summer months have now officially come to a close, we probably won’t see much of the gingham in fall, but if you hurry you can still find some great deals online, linked below under shop this look. Lastly, you might be thinking, “diet coke, really?” While I will admit from time-to-time I give into my soda cravings, I typically try and avoid soft drinks altogether. If I’m needing some carbonation or a little fizz, I’ll grab a sparkling water and add a splash of fresh squeezed lemonade. This has been a go-to, popular refresher for a lot of my pregnant friends too; not only does it settle stomaches, it tastes good!
